Mike Tyson’s fight with Jake Paul has been scheduled for November 15 after the previous world heavyweight champion fell unwell on a flight last month.

The fight was originally scheduled for July 20 in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, and will likely be broadcast on Netflix.

In the last hour of the flight from Miami to Los Angeles, Tyson felt nauseous and dizzy. (*15*) services arrived on his plane, and Tyson’s camp attributed the episode to an ulcer problem and said he would have to undergo light training for several weeks.

Tyson will turn 58 on June 30.

“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training soon. “I am grateful to the medical staff who treated me, as well as MVP, Netflix and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find a time best for all parties to postpone the match,” Tyson said in a statement released by Netflix. “Even though we have a new date, the result will be the same regardless of when we fight. Jake Paul gets knocked out.”

The fight was originally scheduled for Saturday, but will now happen on Friday because the Cowboys prepare to host the Houston Texans on Nov. 18 on Monday Night Football.

“Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that may be certain that each Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, and will even allow us to keep the event at AT&T Stadium in middle of the Cowboys season,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions.

Tyson has not fought professionally since June 2005, but has been training repeatedly for several years. He fought Roy Jones Jr. at a fun gala in Los Angeles in November 2020.
