Tisha Campbell Reveals She’s In Remission From Sarcoidosis: ‘I Haven’t Been Sick Since The Divorce’
Tisha Campbell shares an update on her health.
In an interview with The Telegraph, the actress revealed that she has been in remission of sarcoidosis – an inflammatory disease – for years. “The Mibo Show” podcast. on Wednesday. Campbell shared the news with an audience at Johnson & Johnson’s headquarters in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where the episode was taped.
“I’ve been in remission for four years,” she told former music director Shanti Das, who hosts the podcast. “They can’t find it at the base of my brain at all.”

“I haven’t gotten sick, not once. And I was so afraid that I would get Covid because I thought: “If I get Covid, I will die,” the actress said. “…Just every sniffle, allergies…It was getting worse and I was starting to get sick.”
“But I haven’t been sick since I got divorced,” she joked, referring to her 2020 split from ex-husband, actor Duane Martin.
Campbell then revealed that she was diagnosed with the disease years ago while filming “My Wife and Kids.” The “School Daze” actress said she was affected by a chilly that would not go away.
“I suffered from a cold – I thought it was a cold – for a very long time. I took everything behind the counter, under the counter – behind the counter, not under the counter, (but) I probably did something like that too,” she said with amusing. “I just couldn’t breathe.”
“I felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. “I remember being on the set of ‘My Wife and Kids’ and asking (the assistant directors) if they could call a doctor to come on set because, you know, at this point I know I must have some kind of pneumonia,” she said. .
Campbell remembers filming a scene where she needed to sing “Ease On Down the Road” and her illness took a heavy toll. Shortly thereafter, she was diagnosed with “stage one sarcoidosis in both lungs and the base of her brain, which causes her lymph nodes to swell and make it difficult for her to breathe.” People reported.
