Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Anthony Edwards, who was recently eliminated from the NBA playoffs, has just released an commercial for the sports brand Adidas. In the commercial, the quarterback called out host Cam’ron, “It Is What It Is.” The Harlem rapper, known for confronting critics earlier in his profession, responded to the criticism with a freestyle on a recent show.

In a sneaker promotion released last month, a video shows a machine issuing receipts. In the trailer, you hear Edwards answer an issue concerning the machine: “It’s for my bills,” before adding, “I hear all the hate.” The first receipt to return out involves former NBA player Carmelo Anthony, who questioned whether Edwards was willing to place in the work to turn out to be the “face of the league.”

The second receipt states that Cam’ron said, “He’s an All-Star to me, but not a superstar yet.” To which Edwards says, “Fuck you buddy,” laughing on the statement. The person reading the bills then says, “That’s not the case,” apparently referring to the title of Cam’s podcast.

Edwards goes through other statements before saying, “This is just the beginning.”

Cam’ron posted a video on his Instagram account and promised to reply to Edwards’ disparagement towards him.

“😂😂🔥🔥🔥 promoting!! Thanks @adidas for love. And I had Antman all this time, but I’ll discuss that on the show on Monday. Still, I like this approach. The only thing I’d say is use a greater looking lesbian to read your bills 🤷🏾‍♂️😂😂😂😂

As promised, Killa Cam responded on June 3, dropping a freestyle originally of the podcast. Using the background of the late Bad Boy rapper and fellow Harlemnite, Black Rob’s “Whoa!” he addressed Edwards, affectionately often known as Ant-Man, in a couple of bars. Before he did, Cam mentioned his CNN appearance with Abby Phillip. He appeared on a news show with a news anchor, asking for his opinion on Diddy’s situation. However, he apologized to Phillip.

“I’m sorry, Abby, for everything I might have said/But the play has already been read/Get a black woman and a black man to kill a black man who’s already dead.”

He saved his venom for Ant-Man after stating that he was in the basketball player’s corner until he released this promotional ad.

“But what the hell is with Ant-Man?/I gave him props, man got love from me/New commercial, don’t you love me?/He passed the jump and said, ‘Fuck, buddy'”

“Don’t get upset Kyrie Irving with this shit. / Shooters, sorry, these are only my very own thoughts / Luka, I’ll send you home in your court,” referring to the Wolves’ home playoff elimination. Minnesota House Court.

The Harlem-born businessman was recently a keynote speaker at BLACK ENTERPRISES Disruptor Summit in Atlanta, during which the rapper talked about how he began his successful sports program “It Is What It Is”.
