A fight breaks out between airport employees and passengers at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter

A May 28 confrontation at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter at BWI Marshall Airport in Maryland led to some airline employees jumping on a person – she reports.

Footage captured on a cellphone and published on TMZ shows a passenger wearing a T-shirt and shorts walking toward a desk and fighting with two Spirit Airlines employees wearing black. Then an worker in a white shirt comes out from behind the counter and hits the passenger. The other men grab the passenger. Another man, also wearing black, eventually joins the fight as the instigator falls to the ground.

The three men wearing black continued to beat the passenger while the man in the white shirt held him down. The video ends with the staff restraining the passenger.

Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) police released a press release confirming the incident.

“Officers responded to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter at BWI Marshall Airport for reports of a fight. The officers established the identity of five people who took part in the incident. One person suffered minor injuries. “All involved parties have been provided with information on victims’ rights and services, including information on filing criminal charges with the local commissioner’s office.”

The low-cost airline said the incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. A spokesman said the employees didn’t work directly for Spirit Airlines but “were employed by our supplier at BWI.”

“Our supplier has suspended the four employees involved pending an investigation into the matter. We do not tolerate any form of violence and will take appropriate action if necessary following the conclusion of the seller’s investigation.”

According to , the budget airline is not any stranger to any such viral content. “Earlier this month,” the newspaper reported, “a Spirit Airlines flight attendant he almost got hit as she desperately tried to break up a fist fight between two men on a flight to Boston.”
