Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has signed a shoe deal with Nike

Two-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson will receive signature Nike shoes.

The deal was announced Saturday because the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces prepared to play a preseason game against the Puerto Rican national team in South Carolina, where Wilson played for the Gamecocks during her college profession.

She published a photo on social media showing her wearing a sweatshirt that claims “Of course I have a Dot Com shoe” – a URL that takes people to the Nike website with the emblem announcement.

“Working with Nike to make my dream of owning my collection come true has been amazing. It is truly an honor to take the next step and become a Nike signature athlete,” Wilson said in a press release issued by the sportswear giant. “From my logo to the look of the shoe and the elements of the entire collection, we worked to ensure that every detail was perfectly suited to my game and style.”

The shoe, which shall be called A’One, shall be released in 2025.

Wilson, a former No. 1 overall draft pick, five-time WNBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist, joins the ranks of Nike’s signature athletes, including tennis stars Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka, soccer standout Megan Rapinoe and New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu. Indiana Fever freshman Caitlin Clark, the leading scorer in NCAA Division I history, reportedly has a latest contract with Nike value $28 million over eight years.

“I hope girls wearing these shoes will believe in themselves,” Wilson said. “I need them to hopefully lace them up, feel strong and realize that nobody can stop them from achieving their dreams. Set those goals high. Go get them – that is a very powerful thing.
