The mahogany hallmark honors black sisters

Mahogany Hallmark hosted the inaugural Mahogany Honors Brunch on April 28 in Atlanta. Women from all around the country gathered to receive flowers.

Mahogany Hallmark is understood for its diverse collection of greeting cards with messages of affection, acceptance, condolences and friendship in a minority language. The Mahogany Division, although a comparatively latest entity in comparison with its parent company’s 114-year legacy, has developed a major presence within the forty years since its founding.

The company has found some ways to succeed in and touch black women. Through lifestyle website Mahogany, an e-commerce hub and movie franchises, consumers and entrepreneurs are offered an area where honoring, celebrating and supporting emotional connections between black families, friends and other family members is the norm.

The Mahogany Honors competition was a natural extension of the brand’s mission. The ballroom on the Intercontinental Buckhead set the tone. Black women, having fun with a delicious brunch, communicated as best as they’ll. Arms jumped, heads nodded, and plenty of danced between the tables because the sounds of Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige echoed throughout the room.

After the prayer, guests could have a person conversation with the singer and “Violet color” actress Fantasia Barrino. The “Free Yourself” singer spoke candidly about her financial burdens. She vulnerably told the audience thrice about losing all the things financially. To highlight her loss, she told the story of ordering pizza for her family and losing her bank card. Fantasia emphasizes how each of those failures was one other business lesson for her. She lamented that she had been given this gift and that others had “prostituted” her talent for too long, which inspired her to develop into a businesswoman and truly run her own enterprise.

Mahogany Hallmark honored Black women, creators and entrepreneurs on the brunch. Honorees included Eva Marcelle, Tiffany “Budgetnista” Aliche and Egypt Sharrod.

Aliche said BLACK ENTERPRISES what it means to be recognized by your peers.

“There seems to be one thing about being celebrated. It’s one thing to be respected by your people. There is no greater honor than being honored by people who look like you because they see you. They know that everything you’ve been through, and despite what all the fools say and what’s going on in the world, they lift you up. So it’s just an incredible honor.”

Mahogany Hallmark honored women with their power – words. The Mahogany team created moving poetry that reflected the gifts, talent and fantastic thing about the winners. There was indeed something to take a look at.
