Kimora Lee Simmons looked as if it would remain silent as news broke that her daughter, 21-year-old Aoki Lee Simmons, was dating restaurateur Vittorio Assaf, 65, a while ago. However, the businesswoman and designer recently shared a word on the subject after she recently caught up with TMZ.

The reporter asked Kimora if she knew about Aoki’s relationship with Assaf at the time.

“I don’t think she has anything,” her mother replied. “She’s a young, pretty girl and we don’t think toads we can kiss will be on the show.”

News of Aoki’s temporary romance became public when photos of the two having fun and kissing on the beach hit the Internet. They were on vacation in St. Barts, on a Caribbean island.

The designer also added that, considering the age difference of several dozen years, she doesn’t think that the relationship arose organically.

“..Personally, I feel a bit like she was framed, so I attempt to teach the girls. There are definitely age-related dynamics here,” she said.

In a follow-up query, the TMZ reporter also asked if Kimora felt embarrassed after seeing the photos and hearing the news about her daughter and the much older millionaire spending time together.

“I was probably a little embarrassed,” she admitted. “But you recognize me, I definitely say, ‘That’s what it’s, baby.’ Come home, mom supports you. He won’t come.

Apparently Aoki and Assaf broke up. The restaurateur has two children, Assaf, 21, and Valentina, 17, together with his ex-wife Charlotte Bostrom.

Aoka’s father, Russell Simmons, had some things to say about his daughter’s dating selections, and TMZ interviewed him in April.

“I’m not going to kick and scream over her choices,” he said. “All I can do is offer advice and unconditional love.”
