Brian McKnight’s public spat with his adult children has taken one other nasty turn as his son Niko McKnight is threatened by a recalcitrant fan on social media.

Niko is currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, but that did not stop an internet troll from threatening the 22-year-old with offensive comments.

A fan account with the ID @purple_smurf1600 threatened a cancer patient after Niko advised “Baby Boy” actor Tyrese to “wait out” the internet drama.

“@fiftyclicks should worry about life not someone else’s – @tyrese tell your friend to quit
before you go to the upper room,” the fan wrote, referring to the sky.

Confused as to why a fan would say something like that, Niko replied, “What.”

“You should be worried about the chemistry you need, not another man
does,” replied the troll. “We all make mistakes in life, but I’m pretty sure you’re your parents’ biggest mistake.”

“You’re a terrible person,” Niko replied.

“I don’t care what you or anyone else has to say or think,” the troll said. “Instead of worrying about the other person. you should worry about the cancer inside you. actually why he doesn’t want to leave.”

Niko shared a screenshot of the exchange on his Instagram Story, writing over the photo: “The Internet is a wild place, man.”

McKnight shares Niko and his 25-year-old son Brian Jr. with his ex-wife Julie McKnight. He also has a daughter, Briana, with his ex, Patricia Driver, and one other son, Clyde, with an unidentified woman. The online feud between McKnight and his children began after his wife Leilani Mendoza and McKnight had a son, who was also named Brian Jr., in 2022.

The “Back at One” singer is reportedly a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and when he praised his stepdaughter Julia as his only daughter online, fans rejected him, which hint McKnight, who called his daughter Briana “illegitimate.” Of his older biological children, he said, “get rid of evil and negativity, even if that evil and negativity are interconnected,” and called each of them a “product of sin.”

After comedian Rickey Smiley stood up for McKnight’s children by sharing a video on social media, Tyrese also weighed in on the drama, with Niko accusing the “Fast & Furious” star of lewdness.

“When I was a kid, Tyrese slept under our pool table,” Niko wrote. “I do know the blood of the 90s RnB fraternity runs thicker than anything, but it’s best to wait it out, champ. You have relationships through which you’ll be able to repair your personal children and your past decisions that you simply made within the name of p…s and power.

He continued: “Allegiance to those two things keeps you from seeing that ultimately, family is the one thing that matters. Real men cannot see beyond bulls – t. But let me stop. That 46-hour shot of chemo prepared me for Jody’s disappearance. It’s not like that.”
