Thandiwe Newton joins the cast of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ season two
Thandiwe Newton is the newest cast member of “Wednesday,” although Netflix has not revealed details about the character she is going to portray.
According to Diversity, which said it got the news this week about her joining the upcoming season of the show, Newton will star alongside Steve Buscemi, who was previously rumored to be joining the cast of the second season.
A Netflix spokesperson declined to comment on its addition.
Newton has an intensive acting portfolio, but she is best known for her role on the HBO series “Westworld,” for which she received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In 2018, she won the award for her role as Maeve Millay. The actress also appeared in “Mission: Impossible II”, “Big Mouth”, “The Pursuit of Happyness”, “Crash” and other projects.

“Wednesday” gained immense popularity after its premiere in 2022. Season two has been delayed because of the 2023 Hollywood strikes, but production is anticipated to start out again this month.
