Brian McKnight’s Son Niko Claims He Saved Dad From Jail, But When He Near Death From Cancer, Singer Still Wouldn’t Say He Loved Him

Days after Brian McKnight publicly declared his unwavering love for his recent family while seemingly condemning his first set of youngsters, who he said were “born of sin,” one in all his sons has come forward.

On Friday, April 19, the singer’s son, Niko McKnight, got here forward and explained that he was attempting to tell the world that his father wasn’t an amazing guy.

Niko and his brother Brian Jr. are the kids Brian McKnight shares along with his ex-wife Julie McKnight, to whom he was married from 1990 to 2003. McKnight also fathered one other child, Briana McKnight, out of wedlock with a girl named Patricia Driver and a son named Clyde with an unknown woman.

After McKnight made headlines for his harsh words towards his offspring, Niko took to The Shaderoom’s comments section to criticize his estranged father.

“I’m evil???? This is wild. The guy who made me clean used condoms in the bathroom at 3 p.m. before Lisa came home is calling me evil,” Niko said. “The guy who forged our names is calling us bad fashooo” .

Niko’s responses weren’t limited to Instagram. McKnight’s second oldest child also took a visit to X to thank his supporters for his or her support throughout the ordeal.

“Thank you for finally seeing that we weren’t lying,” he wrote, admitting he wasn’t all the time an ideal son. “I will always admit that I have been spoiled beyond belief, but I do everything in my power to correct my faults.”

On January 16, 2024, Niko revealed that he had been diagnosed with cancer. On social media, he documents his journey through chemotherapy and his constant fight against the disease. His comments often include words of support from relations corresponding to his wife Carla, older brother Brian Jr., half-sister Brianna, and even his uncle Michael. His father is noticeably missing.

“When I was about to die in the hospital from cancer-related complications, I just wanted to bury the hatchet and hear him say he loved me,” Niko told his followers at X. “He told me he couldn’t tell me that arbitrarily he loves me. It still cuts so deep.

Niko also takes full responsibility for his behavior as a minor, but does not believe his father’s behavior is justified.

“We were bad kids, that’s clear. Yes. But my sisters always deserved better. They don’t deserve such blatant disrespect. Hate us all day long. You can’t be trash forever and continue to bypass everything we know,” he he wrote.

Niko then dropped a bombshell that left many fans in awe, which could have had something to do with the caption forgery he mentioned on Instagram.

“We rescued this man from federal prison. That’s all I’ll say,” Niko suggested. “But after all this, I still love him very much because I know my dad is out there somewhere. But now he’s a drone. This is so damn sad. I miss you, Dad. Marcus Aurelius. Superman.”

Niko, 28, and his father have been arguing since he was 22 – across the time the R&B singer claims he interrupted him.

Currently, the one children the singer acknowledges are Julia McPhee, Jack McPhee and Brian Kainoa Makoa McKnight – the kids he shares along with his wife Leilani Malia Mendoza, whom he married in 2017. Julia and Jack are Leilani’s children from a previous relationship, but McKnight adopted them as his own. Tragically, the couple experienced the lack of one other son named Kekoa McKnight through miscarriage.

She was born to Julie McKnight, the singer’s first wife and mother of his oldest sons own oppositionstanding up for her boys.

In a video posted on April 18, Julie thanked those that shared positive words. She then called her ex-husband’s words and actions an instrument of the devil that essentially distracted her from her higher purpose and the blessings that would have come to her and her family.

According to Julie, she normally tries to “make sure there’s joy around her,” adding, “I have something to be thankful for…something I’m grateful for.”

She continued, “I understand how the devil works and I do know that in times when blessings are abundant, he likes to sneak in and he likes to make use of things that he thinks will touch parts of you to bring you out of your space. “

The mother-of-two said she and her sons moved away from Brian and when they did, it resulted in his current behavior.
