GloRilla was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in Georgia
SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) – Jail records show the rapper generally known as GloRilla has been charged with driving under the influence in Georgia.
GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, was charged Tuesday with first-time driving under the influence of alcohol; possession of an open container of alcohol; Failure to obey traffic control devices, based on Gwinnett County Jail booking records.
Woods, 24, of Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested by police in Suwanee, about 48 kilometers northeast of Atlanta. Officers stopped a black Mercedes-Benz after it made a U-turn on a red light. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“I asked Woods how much she drank and what drinks she drank; “Woods, however, continued to insist that it didn’t matter and that she could drive,” the officer wrote in a police report obtained by the newspaper.
Woods’ eyes appeared bloodshot, she had difficulty completing thoughts and he or she refused to take a breathalyzer test, the officer wrote.

She was booked into jail at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday and released at 9:41 a.m. the same day.
Jail records don’t indicate whether Woods has an attorney who could speak on her behalf.
