‘I’ll see Drake in the parking lot’: Channing Crowder wants all the smoke with Drake after OVO rapper shoots Crowder’s wife
Drake’s fondness for girls is rumored to be responsible for his recent rap missteps, but could the OVO frontman start a feud with Channing Crowder? Crowder’s wife recently caught the attention of the Toronto rapper, and now the former NFL star says she’s taken all the gloves off.
Drake, who postponed and later canceled several performances of his “It’s All A Blur — Big As the What?” tour with J. Cole performing in Florida on Saturday, April 13. Channing Crowder and his wife Aja were in attendance.
At one point during the performance, the Canadian rapper was lifted into the air, giving him a bird’s-eye view of the audience. Drake apparently noticed Crowder’s wife, Aja.
“What’s up?” Drake said into the microphone before noticing Crowder’s wife in the distance. “Oh, s—t, it’s green over there.” Great as hell.
Videos posted on Channing’s social media platforms show Aja wearing a green shirt and white shorts, smiling and dancing during the concert.
Crowder didn’t take kindly to the five-time Grammy winner’s advances, saying, “To hell with him… I’m not fearful about Drake. I’ll see Drake in the parking lot.
According to her, Aja is an actual estate agent in South Florida and played tennis at Howard University in Washington, DC her Instagram. The couple has three children. She also appeared on “Baller Wives” and co-hosted the podcast “I Am Athlete,” which her husband previously co-hosted.
The “I Am Athlete” podcast debuted in 2020, and initially Crowder, along with fellow former NFL players Brandon Marshall, Fred Taylor and Reggie Wayne, discussed sports, social issues and current events. Crowder eventually left the show and commenced co-hosting the podcast “The Pivot.”
Throughout April, Drake was embroiled in multiple feuds. Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Like That” targeted Drake and J. Cole. Drake then appeared to answer Lamar when his four-minute diss track titled “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me Fifty)” appeared on social media on April 13.
Fellow hip-hop star Rick Ross also waded into the discussion when he accused Drake of undergoing surgery to change his nose and six-pack, calling him “BBL Drizzy.”
Drake has a history of “taking the shot” with women of all calibers. Whether it’s an A-list movie star or the hottest Instagram model at the time, the “Certified Lover” doesn’t draw back from sliding into DMs or sharing his admiration publicly. Even athletes’ girlfriends and wives aren’t off limits to “The Boy.”
Apparently certainly one of Drake’s former fish, Johanna Leia, was also added to the beef. It appears that Drake booked the bar in the diss track for NBA star Ja Morant, who is outwardly dating Leia. She is mother of a Charlotte Hornets player Amari Bailey. Drake attended Bailey’s game at Sierra Canyon High School in suburban Los Angeles in 2021.
“Shout out to the hooper who’s smashing the net. I do know why you are mad that I didn’t even trip,” the “6 God” rapper said in the song. Morant often performs the volleyball dance before and through NBA games.
“Stay on this side,” Morant replied on X, formerly often known as Twitter, to a Metro Boomin post that said, “once you pick a side, stay there…”
Even four-time NBA champion LeBron James commented on Drake’s leaked statement. “There’s nothing like two heavyweights doing what they do best!” James wrote on X on April 13.
Drake has long used the owl as an emblem for his OVO brand, which stands for October’s Very Own. Drake was born in October, and the brand supports his music and in addition represents a clothing brand.
