Crystal Renay reveals how she found out Ne-Yo was cheating on her

Reality star Crystal Renay has been divorced from singer Ne-Yo for a 12 months, but she finally shared how she discovered the singer was cheating. While chatting with the hosts, she satirically said that it was during his visit that the can of worms burst.

During an appearance on the “One in a Million” program, the singer was asked if he would love to know if his partner was cheating. According to Renay, his response was that he would slightly “live in a blissful bubble of ignorance”.

“Someone sent me this and something in my stomach went, uh-uh. Something’s improper,” he recalls. – Is that what he wants me to think?

“I found everything I could find that day and left,” she said. As for what she found, after going through the singer’s phone, it was hard evidence.

“As for me, he has a bit of jealousy in him or something. I know he would never agree if I did that,” she continued to elucidate. The mother also added that she felt that God had an influence on this development.

“He knew that wasn’t what I wanted in a wedding and he simply removed me from the situation. He did it in such a way that I had no alternative to go away because my values ​​and morals would never align with something like that,” she said.

Before this experience, Renay and Ne-Yo separated and rekindled their relationship multiple times until 2022. But by then Renay had really had enough, filed for divorce and kept her word. Around this time, Renay learned that Ne-Yo had impregnated one other woman, with whom he had two children.

Despite the whole lot that has happened of their marriage, Renay still has positive thoughts in regards to the father of her children. “That was my dude,” she said of Ne-Yo.

However, she doubled down on reality and stated that she deserved higher.

“I know my worth and I won’t stop at sharing someone when I know I deserve a whole man,” she said.

Renay also gave an interview PEOPLE about starting a brand new chapter in March 2024. She talked about being “happy for yourself” in the brand new season.

“I feel blessed and grateful to God for his redirection,” she told the publication. Ne-Yo congratulated Renay on the film, which sparked a viral discussion as some saw it as shade. Nevertheless, they appear to be doing well co-parenting and moving on with their lives.

The former couple married in 2016 and have three children together. Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. was born in 2016, Roman Alexander-Raj Smith was born in 2018, and their clan’s baby, Isabella Rose, was born in 2021.
