‘Everyone will be dissatisfied’: Marlon Wayans fans say ‘Scary Movie’ revival is doomed to failure if his family isn’t involved
“Scary Movie” is getting a reboot twenty years after it lampooned the cult classic horror movies from the comedic genius of the Wayans family.

Marlon Wayans, his older brother Shawn and other co-writers wrote the screenplays for the primary two movies. Keenen Ivory Wayans, their oldest brother, directed each movies, which also starred the aforementioned brothers.
The “Marlon” actor has previously addressed his family’s departure from the series. In 2020, he spoke out about his family’s unpleasant experience working with the Weinstein brothers, Bob and Harvey, whom he described as an “evil regime.”
