‘You’re the reason the show disappeared’: Tisha Campbell’s tearful reflections on ‘Martin’ backfire as outraged fans bring up her relationship with Martin Lawrence
Tisha Campbell’s latest film brings back nostalgic memories amongst fans after visiting the set of the comedy series “Martin”, during which she played the role of Gina.
However, something remained in her comments section after fans filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the series’ most important star, Martin Lawrence.
The hit Nineties comedy series starred actors Lawrence, Campbell, Carl Anthony Payne II, Tichina Arnold and Thomas Mikal Ford. Campbell became teary-eyed as she recalled how she and Arnold eavesdropped through Ford’s dressing room wall at Universal Studios Los Angeles.
“We filmed the show ‘Martin’ here,” she said he said as she noticed what dressing rooms the actors used.
“Me and Tichina would always eavesdrop when Tommy… we would always take – like in cartoons – we would take our glasses and try to listen to what Tommy was doing,” she laughed. “And we would put it to our ears and put our heads against his wall because he was always doing something sneaky, so we would tease him.”
“And the only thing he said on daily basis: ‘Fuck you, Tisha and Tichinia!’ … Oh my God, I’m crying, but in a very good way,” Campbell said.
“Martin” ran for five seasons on Fox and led to 1997. The ending got here after Campbell filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Lawrence and the show.
Campbell alleged that the “Bad Boy” actor groped her during love scenes and repeatedly subjected her to unwanted sexual advances. She also alleged that Lawrence was verbally abusive to the forged and the defendant his for “repeated and escalating sexual harassment, sexual battery, verbal abuse and related threats,” but has vehemently denied these allegations. The case was ultimately settled out of court.
Years later, they resolved their differences and reunited in 2022 to rejoice the thirtieth anniversary of “Martin.”
Let’s be pleased that Martin and Gina made up, because the sexual harassment lawsuit was the end of certainly one of the best shows of all time. There needs to be 10 seasons of Martin, not 5 https://t.co/NXY5wmDaF0

“Memories come flooding back like crazy” – Campbell he wrote in the video’s caption, then tagged Lawrence, Arnold, Payne, Garrett Morris, who played Martin’s boss, Stan Winters, Kim Fields, who starred in the 1992 episode, and other actors.
Fans reacted negatively to the post after The Jasmine Brand shared it on Instagram.
“But hmmm, you are the reason the show ended.” he replied one. “So why was the show canceled!! “Martin will never be the same since Thomas Ford aka Tommy passed away,” added one other. “The girl disappeared, you are the reason the show disappeared.”
“You are the reason this ended. I can not stand her,” one fan replied. Other fans loved her nostalgic post and thanked the actress for the video. “Thank you for this trip into the past” he replied one. Another wrote: “So many stories!! Love it!!”
Campbell also described her first time at Universal Studios with ex-boyfriend Lenny Kravitz. His mother, Roxy Roker, starred in “The Jeffersons” with Sherman Hemsley, but Campbell didn’t know Roker was Kravitz’s mother before they went to the set.
