How you can celebrate Financial Literacy Month
April 1 was the primary day Financial Literacy Month. This month, we’ll be sharing tips about methods to improve your financial literacy and share your knowledge with others.
Here are some things you can do to celebrate this month:
Sign up for the webinar
There are many free financial literacy tools you can use. For example, International money management has an internet series on managing personal funds. Topics include goal setting, credit reporting, credit management, debt repayment, and budgeting.
Sign up for money camp
If you have children or know children who would profit from taking a financial literacy course, consider signing them up for financial camp. One of such camps is Camp millionaire, which has money camps each domestically (akin to Atlanta, California, and Virginia) and abroad (akin to Australia, Brazil, and Canada). For more details about money camps, see Take your kids to money school!
Pick up the book
There are many personal finance books that may help you construct your financial knowledge. For a beginner’s guide to money, visit by Eric Tyson (Wiley Publishing Inc.; $21.99) and Burton G. Malkiel (WW Norton & Co. Inc.; $15.95).
