A closer look at the look of Dawn Staley, the NCAA’s top coach

One of the mainstays of March Madness that has recently taken over the fashion conversation is none apart from Dawn Staley. Last night in Iowa, University of South Carolina head coach Staley and her team won one other NCAA women’s basketball national championship. Her 2024 NCAA win made her the first Black college basketball coach to win three national championships. While that is a formidable feat, what’s equally noteworthy is the way Staley puts in tremendous effort to specific his style on the court during highly publicized matches.
Watching the nation, she managed to capture unforgettable moments in style that featured pieces from brands corresponding to Louis Vuitton, R13 and Gucci, to call a couple of brands. Her love of elegant logo clothing, especially jackets, led to her nickname “Louis Vuitton Dawn.” Staley’s penchant for designer items is amazingly vital. Basketball is sort of a flashy sport, so it’s especially refreshing to see her experimenting with logo T-shirts, bomber jackets, and hoodies. Its look is an ideal juxtaposition to the stylish tunnel styles which are part of leagues like the NBA.
On Sunday evening, she wore a silver and black Louis Vuitton jacket and a pair of sneakers with the brand’s logo from the latest capsule with Tyler, the Creator. Black sweatpants and jeweled hoop earrings matched this look. On the bottom, this outfit is all about comfort, but on the top, style takes precedence. For one other recent game, Staley wore a fitted black and white Louis Vuitton logo jacket and satin sweatpants.
Using logo-centric elements and coveted designer items, Staley proves its desire to face out and create unique, fashionable moments. There’s also a touch of bravado in every outfit she’s chosen recently. Overall, she has proposed herself as a newly crowned fashion figure price listening to. It’s clear she’s having fun together with her outfits – each exudes a touch of playful energy, evident from her beaded necklaces and bracelets, which she’s rarely seen without.
