“Tis the season” for mega music festivals that are black AF

The weather is getting warmer, and with it comes outdoor music festivals. The spring and summer season is the perfect time for music lovers and concert goers to let themselves be carried away by the elements in the company of people that wish to share the good atmosphere and atmosphere at their favorite performances. Music festivals are also a spot to eat outdoors. Food and beverage vendors pull as much as feed the masses with an array of delicious snacks.

Nowadays, music festivals are not only about food and music. On-site retailers can often be found offering a wide range of goods. Don’t be surprised by fun activities like roller skating, picture booths, and outdoor games like hopscotch, horseshoes, and jump rope.

1) Broccoli City Festival

The event will happen in Washington, D.C., on July 27-28, at Audi Field. The Broccoli City Festival is a millennium moment bragging about young, up-and-coming bands like Baby Tate, Sexyy Red and Victoria Monét. Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Yachty and PartyNextDoor will headline. Festival-goers will probably be entertained by artists reminiscent of Desi Banks and Funny Marco, in addition to a taste of Bryson Tiller and Issa Rae.

2) Dreamville

Rapper J. Cole he blessed the hip-hop community from Dreamville and for music lovers basically, it is a dream. Raleigh, North Carolina, will probably be the festival’s host city on April 6–7. Of course, J. Cole will probably be headlining his event together with Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and SZA. Jeezy and Jeremiah will perform on stage during the two-day event. Singer Monica may even bring her vocal power to the amazing lineup.

3) Essence Festival

Like the people of New Orleans, Essence Festival is resilient and unshakable. Approaching its third yr post-pandemic, it returns to NOLA for its thirtieth anniversary July 4-7.

4) Festival of Lovers and Friends

Las Vegas is hosting this massive event on May 4th. Lovers & Friends is a solid festival with all of your favorites performing in sooner or later. Although it’s officially sold out, there may be a waiting list for those that wish to take a shot in the dark.

5) Women’s Power Festival and Summit

Mary J. Blige invented the festival that celebrates women and uplifts them through a wide range of activations, panel discussions, community and entertainment. This yr’s event will happen in New York over Mother’s Day weekend, May 10-12.

6) TwoGether Land Festival

The two-day event is the southwestern spinoff of ONE MusicFest in Atlanta. The inaugural TwoGether Land festival will happen May 25-26 at Fair Park in downtown Dallas and can feature performances by Lil Wayne, amongst others.
