Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish is now two months into her sobriety journey. The 44-year-old joined Amanda de Cadnet podcast to debate her sober path forward.

“I haven’t drank any alcohol or smoked weed or anything in like 72 days,” the comedian said. Cadnet praised Haddish’s efforts, to which the Emmy-winning comedian replied, “It’s not hard. It’s not that difficult for me since it wasn’t an important thing to me anyway.

She noted that she finds it harder to refrain from eating unhealthy amounts of meat and sweets.

When Cadnet asked what inspired the star’s latest habits, she attributed it to “abiding by the law.”

“It’s court-ordered,” she said, adding that she only used marijuana to alleviate pain from endometriosis.

Haddish was arrested in November 2023 on suspicion of driving under the influence. However, the costs were ultimately dismissed and she pleaded no contest to vehicle code violations. The actress fell asleep on the wheel in the course of Beverly Drive while the automobile was still running. Previously, the comedian was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Georgia in January 2022.

Shortly after his firing, Haddish downplayed the situation by making a joke just before acting at an event on the Laugh Factory in Long Beach.

“I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, a career, preferably in a uniform, and God answered my prayers,” she said in an audio recording of the event obtained by TMZ.

After her latest arrest, Haddish said she would “get help” to “learn balance and boundaries.”

She said on the podcast that since learning what her true flaws were, she has been focusing her attention on healthier practices.

“When all that was taken away from me, I thought, ‘OK, let me try the whole vegan thing.’ [thing],” she added. “I’m going to try raw veganism and see how it goes.”

It looks like she’s on the suitable track and we wish her all the very best.
