Ed Lover has a crazy story about how he temporarily became the owner of a Bentley without his knowledge because of Mike Tyson.

Previous “Yo! The “MTV Raps” host shared this story during a recent conversation with Atlanta Black Star, recalling a few of the memorable moments in his profession.

The story began with a memory of his encounter with Tyson at the now-defunct Nell’s nightclub in New York, which happened to be having a dry night. In hindsight, Tyson’s suggestion that they go to the Q Club in Queens, where “there are Jamaican girls,” was an missed foreshadowing of how the remainder of the evening would unfold.

“I bet we’re going. Let me take the car. We’ll take my car and I’ll follow you. No, fuck your car! Get in the car with me,’” Ed recalls. “If anyone knows, you do not need to ride with Mike Tyson. So I attempted every little thing. “I’ll go get the car, it’s here,” he said. Still, Tyson insisted that they go together. “Fuck your automotive! Get in the automotive.’ Bet. I get into the automotive.

He recalled that whoever was riding with the shotgun was ordered to get into one other automotive in order that only he and the athlete were the only ones in Tyson’s whip.

The story continued: “We’re getting on the highway, Mike’s probably going about 120 miles an hour, bro. He blows, I hold on… he blows the lights. We get on the highway from Manhattan and fly to Queens. We arrive in front of the Q Club, no valet parking, just parking across the street. We stop about 10 cars deep. Mike jumps out of the car. I get out of the car. He tells the guy, “Park my st.” Park it all. Just park. Man, I got you.’”

The “Hangover” actor was wearing a Sergio Tacchini tracksuit, a mink coat with a hood and FILA sneakers, and the outfit didn’t comply with the dress code at the venue. Ed hoped it would not be an issue once they reached the entrance.

“Who won’t let Mike Tyson into the club? We get to the front door, the guy at the front door… “I can’t let him in. He’s not dressed well.” I think he is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world… you have to let him in,” Ed said.

After narrowly avoiding a heated scene between Tyson and a lady who accused his outfit of being substandard, they managed to get through because of Ed’s relationship with the owner, who asked the athlete and his crew to enter through a side door.

Tyson made the pass worthwhile because he bought out the bar for the night. The radio presenter and crew left the club at 4 a.m. and the night took a unique turn again.

“Everyone would fuck up. I have a look at him and say, “Okay, Mike, man, what do we do?” I even have to… you’ve gotten to take me back to the city. I even have to go get the automotive. No, I am unable to try this. “I have something to do tomorrow,” replied Ed Tyson.

“I’m like, ‘Mike, I rode with you. Have one of your boys or someone take me back to get the car,” the former MTV VJ said. Iron Mike shut him down again, but not without making a resolution. “He said, ‘Don’t you mommies live here?’ I said yes. He threw me the keys. ‘Take the car.'”

Ed remembers drunkenly parking his Bentley and setting the alarm when he got to his mom’s house. But his paranoia about something happening to the vehicle led him to pull it into the yard. Per week has passed and Tyson still has not recovered his vehicle.

“Three weeks passed and no one came to pick up the car,” so he began driving it prefer it was his. A couple of months later, Tyson’s manager, John Horne, contacted us and said someone would deal with it. “Fifteen years later, I’m in Vegas, I’m at Tao, and I look at the bar and there’s Mike Tyson standing there,” Ed recalls.

The two men recalled all their memorable trips, including their night in Queens. “Remember the night I gave you that Bentley?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “You know I gave you that car, right?” I said what?’ – Yes, I gave it to you. You never asked me to do that. I wanted you to have something nice. …I gave everyone cars. John and the others got here and got it, right?

I said, “Yes, John and the others came and got it.” He said, “Yes, they were jealous.” I said, “Mike, if I ever see their mother…her again, they owe me 450,000 damn dollars.” And that is how I got the Bentley from Mike Tyson, I do not know if he gave it to me.

Needless to say, Ed still hasn’t received his money, but he has a very good story to inform.
