Briana, LaTruth’s estranged wife who he claims almost got him to increase his alimony, throws a divorce party as he seemingly drops hints about marrying another woman
The controversial divorce of influencers Robert “LaTruth” Hampton and Briana Hampton has turn out to be a hot topic on the Internet.
The two influencers got married in 2016 after just five months of dating. Most of their relationship, as well as its tumultuous end, has taken place on social media since 2022, after the “I Hate You More” rapper refused to adopt the three children Hampton had from a previous relationship.
It’s unclear whether the divorce has been finalized, nevertheless it seems Briana will rejoice anyway with a powerful divorce party on March 29. The event occurred just days before LaTruth released a video of himself with an unidentified woman he claimed to be marrying in Las Vegas.
Divorce parties have been a trendy trend for the past few years, gaining popularity on social media, with stars including “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Bambi and Lil Scrappy participating within the festivities.
Hampton decided to have one to rejoice the tip of her marriage to LaTruth. She shared several photos from the party on Instagram with a long caption.
“About Friday night…….. My divorce FrEE NEEK was everythingggg!! Omggggg, I had so much fun,” she wrote. “Thank you to all my fans who flew from all over the world and from Atlanta to celebrate with me!! Thank you to my family. I am so happy to have met you all there because you have been there from the beginning and now we are here on this journey to redefine me!”
Hampton then thanked her event planner Jami Forbes and cake artist Lynnette Moore for decorating the event space and creating a ’90s-themed cake that featured the phrases “Straight Outta Marriage” and “Fn Free.”
The creator of “The Divorce Parties’ Handbook,” Christine Gallagher, says many individuals burn things at divorce parties. “We have heard of wedding dresses being burned at divorce parties, even on the marriage bed,” she added he wrote.
Hampton appears to have taken a page from Gallagher’s book, as another cake prepared for the party by Toppy Sweets included the phrase “I’m doing, I’m done, I’m done” together with faux dynamite. “Thank you @toppysweets for my flaming cake. I enjoyed watching it burn, lol!!”
“If you only knew half of it, you would know why this holiday was so important to me and others!! Anyway, I hope I didn’t leave anyone out. Greetings on the occasion of “REDEFINING BRI”, she concluded.
Fans reacted on Instagram and congratulated Hampton on her freedom. “Finally free…” he replied one fan. “You’re so funny about this,” another joked. “Dude lost a serious villain. There must be somewhere to blow air,” added another.
Just days after Hampton shared photos from her divorce party, LaTruth posted a video on Instagram of him riding in a automotive with a female passenger. He with subtitles post: “On the way to Vegas to get married.” The artist also posted an Instagram story through which he claims that he has “never been divorced in his life,” so it’s unclear whether the divorce is final. He also shared video material woman trying on wedding dresses on April 1.
Fans reacted to his post and warned the woman to run away. “Girl run and run fast” he replied one. “Gatdam, the ink isn’t dry yet! Lol,” added another. “Congratulations. May your union be blessed,” one in all them noted.
Briana and the recording artist have one child together, daughter Amoura, but LaTruth was reluctant to adopt his stepchildren Lauryn, Isaiah and Joshua. He shared a video of Hampton throwing clothes out of her closet with the caption: “All because I refused to adopt her children. You higher stop making me seem like a bad guy after I was just a great person all along. He’s trying to take all the pieces away from me and it’s sad. I deserve higher.”
LaTruth claims Hampton asked about adopting her children when discussing the divorce, and several times she mentioned other men doing the same with their stepchildren.
‘I said no!’ I mean, we got married. There’s no point in adopting children, we’re married,” he said in “The Culture Club Uncensored.” “I’m already a father to them. I just knew at that moment, because I was already talking about divorce, she wanted me to. “he did for stability. So within the event of a divorce, I could have to pay alimony for all my children.”
Briana claimed she never asked him to adopt her children and accused her estranged husband of abusing her.
