As theGrio previously reported, “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” is one of the promising recent shows on Bravo, watched by a bunch of all-black friends during their summer together on Martha’s Vineyard. Cooper and Fleming are rejoined this season by Nicholas “Nick” Arrington, Jordan Emanuel, Shanice Henderson, Amir Lancaster, Preston Mitchum, Summer Marie Thomas and Alex Tyree, with Noelle Hughley recent to the group.
Speaking with Cooper and Fleming, they offered their tackle the second season of reality TV.
“We’ve all grown up since then,” Fleming explained, recalling her first summer with the forged. “I know I was a little nervous and hesitant at first, coming back on vacation and just engaging with everyone because I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone is at home, you can get good drama, bad drama or a mix.”
She added that she decided to enter this summer with an “open mind” and desired to “be herself.”
Cooper’s husband, Silas Cooper, a military officer, starred within the show’s first season, but he went on a 10-month internship to Eastern Europe just before filming for the second season began.
Going into the home solo this 12 months, Cooper told us she took a unique approach, explaining that while watching the primary season, she wished she had said more what she thought. “I really wish I had expressed what I felt or thought about things out loud more often, and I wish I had just had a little more fun, so going into this summer, I just focused on that: saying what I think and having a good time having fun.”

It’s really special.”
“We are also the only all-Black young cast,” Fleming added. “And that claims rather a lot. They may even experience all of our faults, good and bad. It just goes to indicate that we’re not perfect, but that is our on a regular basis life, so we would like to share and hope we will encourage.”
