Sean “Diddy” Combs’ homes searched in connection with federal sex trafficking investigation

Authorities searched two private residences of Sean “Diddy” Combs for evidence supporting the continuing investigation.

According to , Department of Homeland Security officers searched each the rapper/producer’s Holmby Hills residence in Los Angeles and his home on Star Island in Miami for flash drives, laptops and another materials that would assist in the continuing investigation.

Both raids were captured live by news helicopters overhead. Aerial footage of the Los Angeles raid shows Combs’ two sons, Justin Combs, 30, and Christian Combs, 25. handcuffed and detained by authorities through the search, but these reports haven’t yet been confirmed.

“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations New York took law enforcement motion on an ongoing investigation with the help of HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as soon because it becomes available,” the federal department said in an announcement to news outlets.

A source familiar with the situation said federal authorities were questioning three women and one man in New York on charges of sexual assault, sex trafficking and obtaining and distributing drugs and firearms. Interviews with three more women will happen soon.

Numerous accusations against the Bad Boy mogul began to surface after he was sued in 2023 by his former longtime girlfriend and artist Cassie Ventura. In a lawsuit filed last 12 months, the singer alleged years of rape, sex trafficking and physical abuse by Combs. Manhattan on November 16, just days before New York’s Adult Survivors Act expires. Although the lawsuit’s settlement amount was never made public, it was settled out of court only a day later, and the terms weren’t made public.

Since the settlement, two more lawsuits have been filed before New York’s Adult Survivors Act expired. One lawsuit, also detailed at , alleged that Combs intentionally drugged and sexually assaulted the then-19-year-old plaintiff after a date in 1991, videotaping the encounter without consent and sharing it with several of his industry friends music. She says she was so humiliated and distraught by the experience that she became depressed, was hospitalized and ultimately dropped out of faculty.

A 3rd lawsuit filed in February 2024 by a male music producer alleged multiple incidents of unwanted touching, groping and indecent exposure while the plaintiff was attempting to work.

Douglas Wigdor, who was Cassie Ventura’s attorney during her explosive case, also represents one among the anonymous victims, identified as Jane Does in the federal investigation that led to today’s raid.

“We will always support law enforcement as they seek to pursue those who have violated the law,” he said in an announcement via . “We hope this is the beginning of a process that holds Mr. Combs accountable for his depraved behavior.”
