Married To Medicine’s Simone and Cecil Whitmore Share Photos from Their Weird Days After Spotting Him on Hulu Doc

The documentary, which recently premiered on Hulu, has been the subject of conversation for the past week. People are discussing the undeniable fact that Cecil Whitmore, the star and husband of doctor Simone Whitmore, was spotted within the documentary.

A viewer of the project tagged Cecil, asking him directly if that was him within the photo together with his two friends.

Cecil confirmed he was within the photo and responded to the post saying, “You got me!!! This is the OG Freaknik from before the 90s.” – he wrote on X, formerly often known as Twitter. “@eugeneharrislll and I are working on our podcast, let’s talk about it!!!”

Cecil added more context to his performances at this iconic event.

“Since @MobzWorld kicked me on #FreaknikOnHulu. Here’s to a different 1989 with my brother @dgolfer25! Interesting fact for #Married2Med fans My brother and the girl within the photo are the parents of my nephew who attended our highschool,” he wrote, sharing one other photo from fun moments at ATL.

Simone also chimed in and added her two cents to the conversation on Instagram.

“1989 was the last year I participated in #freaknik. @cecilcwhit made the most of all his years #freaknik 😂😂😂,” she joked. “Congrats on the #freaknik documentary airing today on Hulu!” – she wrote on Instagram under a photograph of herself and Whitmore booing at Freaknik.

In addition to delving into memories, Cecil shed light on the Atlanta University Center (AUC) cultural center. He was a Morehouse man, and Simone graduated from Spelman College, each institutions in an academic consortium.

“I know the #freaknik documentary on Hulu is great! But before things got crazy, the AU Center was easily one of the best HBCU events and gatherings around. Club Cali had a beer party and it was epic too. If you know, you know!!” he said.

The couple has been together since 1997 and has been married for nearly 30 years. Despite announcing that she planned to divorce her longtime husband in season five, they’ve each gotten through it and are getting stronger. It’s nice to see how far back the Whitmores really go!
