Jamie Foxx returns in ‘Beat Shazam’. The actor will once more host the musical game show on Fox after taking a hiatus last season following a sudden hospitalization.

Last season, Nick Cannon took over because the show’s host following Foxx’s temporary departure. Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx, who DJs the show’s co-host, also returns after leaving last season. Kelly Osbourne replaced Corinne when she took some time without work.

“Beat Shazam,” created by Jeff Apploff and Wes Kauble, features contestants trying to discover different songs and ultimately taking up the favored Shazam app for a likelihood to win $1 million. Since its launch in 2017, this system has given away over $10 million for a change.

Allison Wallach, head of unscripted programming at Fox Entertainment, said in a press release obtained by Variety: “Jamie and Corinne are the heart and soul of “Beat Shazam.” As our undeniably dynamic father-daughter hosting team, they create a novel relationship on the show like no other, and it’s great to have them back on set this season.”

This can be the case in the brand new season, which is able to premiere in May incorporates thematic episodes, including “teams of fathers, siblings, teachers, heroes and mothers.” Jamie Foxx also serves as an executive producer on the series, alongside Apploff, Mark Burnett, Barry Poznick, Lauren Zalaznick, Pat Kiely and Sean O’Riordan.
