Simone Biles had the funniest reaction to the news that her husband left the Green Bay Packers to play in Chicago

Simone Biles’ husband is leaving the Green Bay Packers and he or she couldn’t be happier.

It’s rarely that WAGs react when their boyfriends and spouses get a one-way ticket to a brand new team. But for the Olympic gold medalist living in Texas, not having to travel to see her husband Jonathan Owens play in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and as a substitute finding her way to her recent home in Chicago, where he’ll play for the Bears, is something to have a good time. In addition to the great food and plenty of sights and sounds in the Windy City, the Biles are excited to fly direct to see their husband in motion.

Biles has indeed shown love for the city of Green Bay, with the Packers organization tweeting, “I just wanted to thank Packer Nation for welcoming my husband and I,” she wrote before adding, “Green Bay will always hold a special place in our hearts!”

She went further in her kind words, noting that her enthusiasm for Chi-Town should not be misconstrued as a negative attitude toward Green Bay after the Cheeseman (as Packers fans and Wisconsinites are called) asked her to “show some respect.” She replied, “I’ll at all times respect Green Bay and the Packers! It just made my job (flights with connecting flights) harder because I used to be training, haha,” she wrote.

Owens also showed love for his former team following the news of his recent two-year contract. “I appreciate @packers for this opportunity 🙏🏽 And Packer Nation for welcoming me and my wife with open arms. I will never forget my time in the UK.”

Owens played for the Packers for one season, signing with the team in May 2023. He previously played for the Houston Texans from 2019-2022 and started his major league profession with the Arizona Cardinals after being an undrafted free agent in 2018 . NFL Draft.

The couple, who began dating at the starting of the pandemic, married in April 2023.

So what awaits the Olympic champion as she prepares for all times in Chicago? Well, after the summer games in Paris, where she’s going to defend her title as the best gymnast of all time, it looks like she will probably be having fun with all the food this city has to offer.

Biles capped off her excitement for brand new beginnings by showing her love for her man. “I am incredibly proud of my husband,” she wrote. “The sword never ends! This is just the starting!”
