After years of claiming he would not do it, Chris Tucker has finally hinted that he could be open to making one other “Friday” movie if the conditions are right.

In 1995, the Def Comedy Jam actor starred alongside NWA founder Ice Cube in the classic film titled “Friday.” Since its release, the comedy has grossed over $27 million at the box office, solidifying Cube and his Cubevision as Hollywood’s welterweights.

Having change into a devout Christian, Tucker, who played a heavy pot smoker named Smokey, withdrew from the project despite the film’s success. Cube played his friend Craig, who was fired from work on his time off.

When the likelihood for a sequel arose, the once-blue comedian expressed his disinterest in reprising his role, noting that he “didn’t do the second one… because of the weed” and the impact it had.

But it looks like the “Rush Hour” star could also be singing a special tune.

While promoting his “Legend Tour” at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, he stopped by the Big Tigger Show on V-103. Tucker revealed that he revised a lot of his scenes: “That’s why I can’t be Smokey now, not saying we can. I won’t do another movie, but that was the time.” It was a special time. It was the early Nineteen Nineties.”

He was then about to bless the world with one other installment of the “Friday” series featuring Tucker.

“And I know I’ve said that if there’s a ‘Last Friday’ movie, I think you should be in it,” co-host Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan told Tucker in an interview.

Tucker interrupted, “Well, you understand it won’t be the last movie if I’m in it. Because they are going to do a couple of more because we’re going to do it right.

Big Tigger continued, “I think DC Young Fly should be your son and Cube and Ice Cube’s son should be here.”

Tucker said that if that happened, the Wild ‘N Out star would “definitely have” to be in the movie.

“You know, if they connect,” the comedian said, howling. “Everything is possible”.

When asked what needs to be implemented, he said the studios have to want it, as do the producers who will finance it.

“There’s a lot that goes into it,” he said.

Fans seem to have mixed feelings about the idea of Tucker reprising the role due to years of requests for his return and other forged members who’ve left.

– With all due respect, it’s too late now. Many of the forged members are already dead,” one person wrote.

The “Friday” actors who’ve died include John Witherspoon, Bernie Mac, Tommy Tiny Lister, aka Debo, Yvette Willson, Anthony AJ Johnson and Reynaldo Ray.

However, Cube has been teasing this concept for years, regarding the intention to include Tucker in other movies in the series. But some fans just wanted people to stop playing to their faces in public.

“Oh my God, they dragged this out and played in everyone’s faces for YEARS! They can maintain ATP!” said in the post.

One person he was joking“We made that little nigga reconsider.”

Another person wrote the script.

“A film dedicated to John Witherspoon and Deebo (Tony Lister). Smokey and Craig reunite at the funeral. And they have to deal with the same problems with their sons (Cube’s son and young DC as Chris Tucker’s son),” one person wrote.

Big Tiger kept his arms crossed during the interview and pressed Tucker, asking, “But you don’t feel like it?”

“Another ‘Friday’?” Tucker replied. “I don’t know. It has to come back right. Because like I said, right now I only do things that I know I can do my best and that I can have fun with. It has to be true. I’m not going to cheat “I do not do things for money. I never did.”

Cube can vouch for this statement by noting it No sum of money could move Tucker to do the project, he didn’t even offer him $12 million.

“You’re going to hear 1,000 different stories, but we wanted to pay him $12 million to make this movie and he turned it down,” Ice Cube shared on the “Full Send” podcast on May 19.

“He said it was for religious reasons,” he continued. “He didn’t want to swear or smoke pot on camera.”

One movie where Tucker is certainly open-minded is “Rush Hour 4.”

During one other interview for WSB-TV 2 promoting her latest stand-up performance, the 52-year-old he said“I think it will happen. I want to do one more. Jackie (Chan) wants to do another one. I think the studio wants to make another one, so we’re just working on the script and tweaking it and making it better.”

In this case, he made it clear: “We are going to do this.”
