It seems AD has been the butt of jokes since the show aired.
During Episode 6, several white castmates couldn’t get enough of mentioning her well-rounded buttocks.
Looking at AD from across the room, Jimmy, a white player, blurted out to his then-white fiancée Chelsea that AD was “stacked.”
Chelsea agreed, joking that AD’s butt looked like a “shelf”, then shouted back that her man had commented on one other woman’s butt, after which asked how she managed to get such an enormous and firm butt. AD shyly replied that she was blessed by Jesus and the workouts.
Although Jimmy apologized and AD graciously accepted it, many felt she had been objectified.
Especially when the next couple, Jeramey and Laura, giggled and laughed at AD’s “dipping the beans.” To “spill the beans” on someone, wave your index finger across a lady’s or man’s chest.
This time AD was clearly embarrassed, questioning Laura why she told her man to do it.
Clay, who was her fiancé at the time, spoke up and stated that they weren’t only insulting AD, but additionally him.
Social media agreed.
“It’s very disgusting how they sexualize AD. From Jimmy approaching and flirting with her to the stupid bean dip joke #LoveIsBlindS6,” one person wrote.
The bean dip comment was also discussed at the reunion, where Laura apologized profusely for seemingly insulting AD. Jeramy even agreed that the joke must have stayed between him and Laura and he should never have repeated it.
