Biden releases campaign ad featuring images of Donald Trump and the KKK
The campaign administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris released a provocative recent ad on March 8 that included images of Donald Trump, the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacist rallies.
Advertising at the right time has been released on social media shortly after Biden’s State of the Union address, reports.
The Biden-Harris campaign ad, which features KKK meetings and speeches by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., begins with footage of Biden’s March 7 speech. It included a photograph of former President Donald Trump as Biden said: “I do know American history. Time and time again, I even have seen the rivalry between competing forces in the battle for the soul of our nation.
Biden continued: “Between those who want to drag America back into the past and those who want to drag America into the future.”
President Biden has pushed back against his opposition, often citing his age as a reason he should not be re-elected. “The problem facing our nation is not how old we are. Our ideas are so old. “Hate, anger, vengeance and vengeance are the oldest of ideas,” Biden told the crowd.
The ad showed photos from the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, during which white supremacists marching turned violent. It also showed photos from the Jan. 6 Capitol rebellion, interspersed with photos of Trump meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin on a golf course.
Biden ended the ad by discussing issues resembling the climate crises, rights abuses and the economy.
“I see a future in which, while defending democracy, it cannot be diminished. I see a future where we restore choice and protect our freedoms, where the middle class finally has a fair chance and the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes.”
Biden concluded: “I see a future for all Americans.”
