Mike Epps is in a difficult situation, or a minimum of it seems that way if you read the recent apology he wrote to his wife Kyra Epps. The 53-year-old comedian recently participated within the podcast, chatting with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. During the conversation, he talked more about how he wasn’t a excellent partner for the ladies he was with. Whenever.

“I kept crying and asking God, what did I do that I couldn’t have a son?” Mike said through the interview. He has five daughters. “But I do know what it was. I lied to all these women, impregnated them and sold them their dreams.

He could have a son, his sixth and final child, and his second along with his wife Kyra, named Mike Jr (additionally they have a daughter named Indiana). He has two daughters along with his ex-wife Mechelle McCain and two others from a previous relationship.

“One thing I will do right before I leave this Earth is learn to treat a woman 100 percent right,” he said through the conversation. “It’s something I want to do. For my mother, for my children, for my daughters. I have never treated a woman right one hundred percent. And now that I’m getting older, I realize you’ve got to treat a woman right, Mike. You can’t cheat on her. You must be her friend. You can’t be selfish. This is what I want to do. This is one of my dreams.”

Reactions within the podcast chat were mixed, as some seemed outraged by his comments about wanting to do right by a woman for once. His musings were seen as signs that he wasn’t treating his wife Kyra right, which didn’t go down well with the web. When celebrities speak badly, we all know what often follows: a public apology. Mike wrote one and shared it on social media.

“I want to apologize to my wife for what I said on this stupid podcast, this shit is bullshit,” he wrote. “I always get misunderstood when I talk on the internet, I’ll never interview anyone again, I’ll never drop this shit for good, fuck less.”

The comedian decided that one apology was not enough, so he issued one other one. In a now-deleted post, he shared a photo of his wife with a message apologizing to her and his family.

“Once again, I would like to apologize to my beautiful wife for her ignorance and recklessness [comments] I respect you and my family, please forgive me.

Kyra and Mike have been married since 2019 and met in 2017. The couple also has a show together, premiering in 2023 on HGTV, during which they renovate the homes Mike purchased on the block where he grew up in Indianapolis.
