Black women understood the task on the BET Awards red carpet

Women might be front and center at the 2021 BET Awards as Taraji P. Henson will host and icon Queen Latifah might be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The annual celebration of black culture heralds the evening’s celebration of the “Year of the Black Woman,” and judging by the looks of those arriving on the red carpet, the magic of Black girls shines brightly.
Stars attending the awards ceremony are there “with people,” as Henson jokes in his opening monologue at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. On the carpet, star power heats up with kills from Chloe Bailey, HER, Marsai Martin, Ari Lennox and naturally our headliner and Essence Festival of Culture cover girl Jazmine Sullivan.
