For those that also stood in the face of delays on the return flight from Shanghai due to what others considered “a lack of discipline.”

“This is quite embarrassing (for United),” explained Shukor Yusof, founding father of Endau Analytics based in Singapore, a consulting company that focuses on the aviation industry. Yusof also called the incident an expensive mistake whose global airline shouldn’t have made.

The airline stood in the face of a greater warmth of dissatisfied passengers, including a mother whose problem became viral on tiktok. After she was asked to remove her son’s respiratory tube to start and said through pilots that her son shouldn’t fly, Melissa Sotomayor remembered the traumatic experience of the application.

@ Missto0 @United Airlines are doing higher and be higher! Have you tried to deny my child the right to fly home, stating that his ventilation hole and a portable oxygen concentrator are a danger to my son and other passengers?! The captain of the flight number UA1349 tried to say that my son shouldn’t fly due to his special needs. 4 Air crews told me that I had to disconnect his ventilation hole and oxygen until we were in the air and we repeated that our places could be moved because I didn’t want to apply?! I even have explained persistently that these elements of the equipment keep my son alive and he was told: “It will be good until we are in the air” is ignorant and unacceptable !!! If you will have a loved one with special needs, I don’t recommend Flying United !!! This is contrary to Ada, and the corporation doesn’t want to do every little thing to fix the situation. The apology was every little thing I wanted !!!#Noahscottstrong #Teamspicysweetpotato #BabieSoftiktok #Fyp #Medicalmomsoftics #Medically complex #preemiesrong #Warriors #Tracheostomy #Trach #GtubeBaby #Gtube #Trachbabs #Dobetterbets #americananswithdisabilitesct #UNITEAIRLINES ♬ Original sound – Missy Soto

The way you treated my son after we tried to fly home from Tampa to Newark, he was absolutely funny, “explained Sotomayor.

She quickly won over a million views on her film describing history. Although United announced its apology Sotomayor, she called regret “insincer”.
