Lizzo to the star as a legend of Rosetta Tharpe music in the new biography

Lizzo enters the acting world, respecting one of the real pioneers of music.

This week, the award-winning Grammy announced its foremost acting debut in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios “Rosetta” film, in which she is going to take the role of sister Rosetta Tharpe-Lenderska Singer Gospel and electric guitar Trailblazer with an electrical guitar, which was “Godmother of Rock and Roll”. Lizzo, known for its sound and an unadological genre, Lizzo enlivens the groundbreaking story of Tharpe on the screen.

“Black people did rock n roll yeaaah,” Lizzo wrote on Instagram, Splashing warehouse. “Finally, I am not very excited and honored.”

Born in 1915, Tharpe was the daughter of cotton collectors who were dedicated members of the Cogical Faith. At the age of six, she was already a wonderful musical, traveling around the country playing the guitar and singing at church conventions.

Up to 23 Tharpe has developed its characteristic style of BOP and Electric guitar, winning her distinctions and a probability to record music. Her hit song “Rock Me” influenced future rock legends, such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Little Richard and others.

Inspired by the real events of “Rosetta,” will discover key moments in Tharpe’s life when she moved social restrictions, her sexuality and a breakthrough musical profession.

Although this implies the first role of Lizzo, it just isn’t her for the first time on the big screen. In 2019, she played “Hustlers”, and in 2023 she made a stage in “Mandalorian”.

Amazon MGM Studios has not yet announced the release date of the film.
