Boyz II men, supported by hundreds of artists, provides a letter to legislators who press American music of honesty
According to American Federation of Musicians, Bill, HR 861/S. 326, they’d assure that artists receive remuneration each time their songs are played at AM/FM radio stations (radio for land). It would also require only smaller radio stations (those whose revenues and whose parent firms fall below a certain threshold) to access unlimited music for lower than USD 2 per day.

“This is a problem for good and evil. Artists – including vocalists and background musicians – work hard to create music that brings joy to millions. It is outrageous that large radio companies are able to earn billions of dollars annually in commercials, refusing to the performers, whose music attracts listeners. We hope that the Congress will listen to the artists’ voices and transferred this bill, “said the group in a statement.
A double -sided group of legislators introduced the act on the integrity of American music within the Chamber and the Senate, showing that the issue goes beyond the standard political division in Washington
The Act has the support of various groups and coalitions, from artists, musicians, primary and independent labels and unions, to organizations corresponding to Alliance for Community Media and the National Federation of Community Broadcasters. Over 300 artists I signed myself to the letter Delivered by the group from the genre, style and era, including Celine Dion, Carly Simon, George Strait, Cyndi Louper, Gene Simmons, TLC, Kool & The Gang, Lord Finesse, Mariah Carey, Pink Yolanda Adams and MC Lyte, amongst many others .
