“He still thinks he is … involved”: a lawyer for a man who rented a house where three fans of Kansas City Chiefs were found frozen a year ago, requires public apology to clean his name
The secret surrounding the death of three men whose bodies were found in front of a friend’s house after a football watch party was not yet solved a year after the authorities began examining the case.
Clayton McGreeney, 36 years old, David Harrington, 37 years old and Ricky Johnson, 38 years old, were mysteriously found a friendly in front of the house of renting their friend Jordan Willis on January 9, 2024, playing Kansas Chiefs.
Only when McGreeney’s fiancée went home and gained access to the property, did she find the bodies of all three men on the porch and within the yard.
Willisa’s lawyer claims that his client has no idea how he finished. Willis reportedly removed in some unspecified time in the future within the meeting, but he said that he saw his friends leaving. He had no concept that their bodies were outside for two days.
The fifth friend, who was not publicly identified, was also on the meeting, but got here out early. However, he said that when he left the house around midnight, Willis and the opposite three men still did stay awake.
This friend also remembered the interrogation from McGreeney’s fiancée and Johnson’s mother about his family members “stay and SMS -SMS -Y Willis.” Willisa’s lawyer maintains that Willis has never received any texts or calls, but men’s families contacted Messenger on Facebook.
Due to contradictory relations and indefinite schedule, the authorities are still investigating what really happened that night.
A number of weeks after the beginning of the investigation, officials published a toxicological report showing that every one three men consumed cocaine and fentanyl before death. Their autopsies were also accomplished, but their official causes of death have still not been published in public.
Willis moved out of the rental property and proved himself in a rehabilitation facility to solve addiction problems.
The authorities say the case is still underway.
Although Willis has not been accused of crime, his lawyer John Pictorno wants the authorities to publicly clean his name.
“Of course, society still thinks that he is somehow involved in the death of these guys. If you (authorities) know that he had nothing to do with it, why will you not leave in public and do not clean it? “Picnitus he said People magazine.
Families of men who had previously expressed uncertainty concerning the nature of their death.
“I’m not saying that they just found in his system, but when he got into the system, we still don’t know,” said Harrington in 2024. He added that his son “loved life” and was “extremely certain that the result was not intended.”
“If I had a hypothesis … For three men they died in the way they did it, something must have been in their system,” noted Johnson’s brother Jonathan Price last year. “Regardless of whether it was taken consciously, I would not answer it.”
A police spokesman said that no latest information was disclosed, and the case stays an investigation of death.
“It was a long and complex investigation, but we will not give up an attempt to determine who is responsible for the death of these young men,” District Prosecutor Platte Eric Zahnd he said USA Today.
