Oprah Winfrey Launches ‘The Oprah Podcast’
NEW YORK (AP) — Oprah Winfrey has a brand new book club selection and a brand new platform for talking about books and other topics of the day.
On Tuesday, Winfrey launched a weekly series about her, “The Oprah Podcast.” YouTube channel which can feature book club authors and guests starting from “global newsmakers” to “cultural changemakers.” There might be upcoming podcasts author-in-chief Ina Garten AND Dr. Vivek Murthyincluding the US Surgeon General.
Winfrey launched “The Oprah Podcast” with Irish creator Claire Keegan, whose award-winning historical novel “Such Little Things” is her newest book club pick. “Small Things Like These”, released in 2021, has been adapted right into a film starring the fundamental character Cillian Murphy which was released this 12 months.
“Knowing that Oprah Winfrey enjoyed reading my book is the greatest compliment and one that I will remember for the rest of my life,” Keegan said in a press release. “To hear that she has also recommended this novel to others and selected it for her book club is a huge honor. Winfrey’s interview with Keegan and other book club selections might be presented in partnership with Starbucks. The talks might be filmed at various Starbucks locations, starting with the one within the Empire State Building, and the books might be paired with a Starbucks drink. Winfrey previously worked with Starbucks within the Nineteen Nineties on a literacy fundraising project, and in 2014 on the Teavana Oprah Chai Tea, which raised thousands and thousands for youth education organizations.
