Melissa Mitchell continues her rise in fashion as her imprint Abeille Creations debuts a brand new 50-piece collection as a part of SHEIN X.

A graduate of Florida A&M University common on Monday shared its enthusiasm on Facebook, announcing an official partnership with the web retail giant. Thanks to retailer SHEIN X, Abeille Creations has turn into considered one of the most recent Black-owned brands to achieve visibility on the platform.

She shared a bit about her journey to securing the partnership, which included a failed collaboration opportunity that went unfulfilled earlier within the 12 months. After partnering with SHEIN, Mitchell had little time to deliver her 50-piece collection. But she did it and he or she couldn’t be more proud.

“It is obvious that at the end of the year an opportunity was lost that almost derailed my momentum and focus for MONTHS,” she wrote. “But I never stopped painting and creating. I was able to create project after project on demand in a matter of minutes. I had to flip these bits FAST, can you hear me? But I did it. The team was delighted and here we are.”

Women’s clothing collection contains a number of vibrant, colourful dresses, two-piece sets and swimsuits at inexpensive prices starting from $6 to $27. Created to represent Mitchell’s mission to create higher lives, Abeille Creations reflects the power of Bahamian artists to interrupt glass ceilings in art, technology and fashion world wide.

Since its launch in 2016, Abeille Creations has signed global deals with Foot Locker and SPANX, offered Mitchell a platform for her own TED Talk, and joined the Afropunk/Shopify Black Fashion Accelerator program.
