Snoop Dogg Shares Touching Video of His Grandkids’ Reaction to His Version of ‘Elf on the Shelf’
Snoop Dogg has many titles – award-winning rapper, entrepreneur and tv personality – but he proudly wears the title of grandfather. To have a good time the holiday season, “Papa Snoop” makes sure his grandchildren stay off Santa’s naughty list.
This week’s rapper shared a video how two of his seven grandchildren receive a special letter from one of Santa’s elves, their “Elf on the Shelf.” In the footage, Snoop Dogg’s granddaughters could be seen excitedly climbing onto the dining room table to retrieve a letter hanging from the chandelier next to what appears to be “Snoop on the Stoop,” their grandfather’s rendition of the classic Elf on the Shelf.
“Hi! I’m so happy to be with you this year,” the letter reads. “Each evening Santa will likely be receiving a report on you, so try to be on your best behavior in any respect times. Let the adventures begin. This will likely be great fun! Love you, Elf.
Shocked and frozen for a moment, one of the girls admitted that after reading the letter, she “was too scared to move.” As an unidentified voice in the video explains to the children how an elf will visit them each day leading up to Christmas, one of the rapper’s granddaughters adorably claims to have seen the elf’s feet.
Snoop, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is the father of three sons, Corde, 30, Cordell, 27, and Julian, 26, in addition to a daughter named Cori, 25, which he shares together with his wife of 27 years. years old, Shante Broadus and son Julian, who’s from one other relationship. He can be the grandfather of seven grandchildren: Zion (9), Elleven (6), Cordoba (5), Sky (3), Chateau (3), Kai and one other grandson whose name has not been revealed to the public.
Over the years, Snoop Dogg has learned to mix his role as the patriarch of his family together with his skilled profession as a rapper and entrepreneur. The rapper recently released his Lovechild jewelry collection in honor of his family. Inspired by his wife, children and grandchildren, the rapper-turned-entrepreneur described the 45-piece collection as a product of love.
“It’s a partnership, so the energy of my family is me. I bring their energy to the table. I do know what my wife, children, grandchildren want. I represent them because I’m the king of the family. So it’s my job to be sure it’s presented properly,” he said, explaining that his family had minimal input into the collection.
Just as he takes pride in seeing his children grow up and reach latest milestones, like daughter Cori planning her upcoming wedding, Snoop Dogg is equally proud of his role as a grandfather, or as his grandchildren say, “Papa Snoop.”
“Papa Snoop, this is who I am and I love being like this. I dress up for their birthday parties as He-Man, Baby Shark or whoever. I complain, but I love it,” he said People Magazine. “I love being a grandpa. It’s an achievement.”
