According to reports, the first Lucid Motors Gravity SUV has rolled off the corporate’s production line in Casa Grande, Arizona. entry on X. Now the corporate will set itself the goal of increasing production of the brand new electric vehicle and making the first deliveries – even though it just isn’t known when it can deliver them to customers.
This is a key milestone for Lucid, which builds on the Gravity SUV form factor, making it a much bigger success than its only current model, the Air sedan.
The Air began much slower than Lucid had originally anticipated. And while sales have increased over the past few quarters, the corporate has continually turned to majority owner Saudi Arabia for extra money to make sure it could actually stay afloat through the first yr of Gravity production and delivery.
The entry-level Gravity “Grand Touring” version starts at $94,900. The company boasts that it could actually travel over 440 miles on a full charge. Two electric motors – one on the front, one on the rear – help it produce the equivalent of 828 horsepower. It is standardly equipped with two rows, but you possibly can order three.
The cheaper Gravity version is predicted to roll off Lucid production lines “in late 2025,” with a price tag starting at $79,900.
