The Atlanta Falcons and Spelman College, Morehouse College, Morris Brown College and Clark Atlanta University proceed to collaborate on the AMB Sports and Entertainment Fellowship (AMBSE), a program designed to give students a head start on careers in sports and entertainment.

According to , AMBSE was established in 2023 to give students of this system’s partner universities a likelihood to distinguish themselves after graduation– and this yr was also a success.

Since this system’s inception, it has grown from 12 to 15 fellows and includes a broader range of AMBSE faculty.

In August, the Atlanta Falcons issued a press release announcing that Wells Fargo has joined his initiative offering scholarships to HBCU students in the Atlanta area.

According to the press release, participants will now have access to roles in player engagement, live events, entertainment, stadium production, graphic design, brand communications and more.

Additionally, due to increased demand, more corporate partnerships have been added. Participants will have the ability to participate in practical competitions with the Atlanta Falcons at their home stadium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They can even receive mentorship from peers and executives at Wells Fargo and AMBSE.

Latonda Henderson, director of DEI at AMBSE and a Spelman alumna, recently said the primary good thing about this system is opportunity.

“I do know we just need a likelihood. There is a lot talent, a lot passion, a lot enthusiasm on our campuses. So when now we have the chance and the door is open to us, there is not any stopping us,” Henderson said.

Tai Roberson, senior vice chairman of philanthropy and social impact at Wells Fargo, told the outlet that students and graduates of this system have been impressive to date.

“We are very proud not only of this initiative, but also of the students and graduates of the program who continue to impress us with their work ethic, collaboration and passion,” Roberson said.

In her comments, Roberson indicated that she was excited concerning the advantages for program participants.

“Wells Fargo is the Bank of Doing, and we are working to level the playing field by connecting Atlanta HBCU students with their career goals and providing financial education resources to prepare them for life after college,” Roberson said. “We are proud to partner with the Falcons on this first-of-its-kind program that provides HBCU students from top universities across Atlanta the possibility to immerse themselves in the front office of a skilled sports team and experience how sponsors work with teams to drive positive change in communities “.
