“Fresh & Fit” podcast host Myron “Fit” Gaines has sparked recent levels of shock and demands for his controversial show to be canceled.

Since November 16, offended clips of a black guest named Nia McKenzie being racially abused and attacked by show animators have been circulating, sparking massive backlash online.

Gaines and co-host Walter “Fresh” Weekes have hosted the show since 2020. Their discussions were characterised by the open use of racial slurs and misogynistic views, especially those regarding black women.

At one point, pandering to a volatile audience segment earned them the support of 1.49 million YouTube subscribers, but their success was quickly thwarted by criticism of their content.

Last 12 months, “Fresh and Fit” was suspended from the YouTube Partner Program for frightening outbreaks of violence between guests and hosts, resulting in the demonetization of its videos on the platform. They have since broadcast their show without opposition or censorship on Castle Club, an independent hosting site that requires a subscription.

The episode, which features singer McKenzie and three other women – two of whom aren’t black – was promoted on the web site as “fighting the black n-garilla.” In Gaines’ tweet promoting the clip of the melee, he described it as “Ratchet 304 acting like Ratchet 304 for over 2 hours, picking fights with everyone in the studio including other guests… A fistfight broke out.”

The four-minute video shows him and McKenzie arguing after the talk about whether Black people might be racist and her reasons for voting for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Throughout the heated episode, McKenzie verbally responded, often in her own defense, against comments portraying her as an offended black woman after she was accused of racist treatment of non-black guests. Tempers peaked when Gaines kicked McKenzie off the show, saying, “Get out of here, you fat bitch.”

Show host and casting coordinator Aaron Pogson quickly stepped between them as their argument continued. Weekes followed them, recording the complete experience on his phone.

The other three women remained within the studio. – You silly nigger. “Get out of here, bitch,” Gaines said, dragging McKenzie to the elevator. At several points he even warned, “This is Florida. Don’t give up,” mentioning a state law that permits legally armed residents to shoot at a perceived threat.

When the young lady expressed her intention to sue the show, McKenzie was reduced to being called a “stupid bitch” and was repeatedly told she was ugly and fat. After entering the elevator, she threw her purse towards Gaines and was immediately beaten by two women, one in all whom grabbed her by the pinnacle and punched her repeatedly.

The problematic host eventually interrupted the scene as McKenzie began collecting her things from the ground. At one point, Gaines may be heard shouting for somebody to “grab her purse,” though it’s unclear why.

“How can we cancel it for good??? Can we all report him as a collective… to remove him from all platforms” – bored viewer he tweeted.

Someone else he wrote“She fried his a– and he got emotional. Then, when he began calling her every offensive name he could, including hard r’s, and began shaking, he modified his mind to “chill out.” This guy is a joke.

When the viral clips went viral on November 17, McKenzie he tweeted“Okay, so we’ll talk about this shit tomorrow. I don’t know if I have a seat available or what, but I have to get up for class in the morning, everyone. Thank you for your love to everyone who supports me. I pray you have a VERY productive rest of the year!!!”

Other than using “blax” within the video to generate views and engagement, “Fit & Fresh” has not released an official statement.
