New faces join the Sports Illustrated swimsuit lineup. This week, the magazine announced that Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles might be one among many star athletes featured in the SI Swimsuit 2025 issue.

“We are thrilled to kick off the 2025 shooting season with an extraordinary lineup of powerful female athletes,” editor-in-chief MJ Day shared in an announcement. “This extraordinary group of Olympic medalists, world champions and record holders embodies the next generation of stars ready to change the world of sports. They challenge stereotypes and advocate for equality, inspiring young girls to imagine themselves as both athletes and leaders.”

Chiles will perform alongside her gymnastics teammate Suni Lee, fellow Olympian Gabby Thomas and more. Informer-peek pictures Ben Horton’s photos show Chiles striking a mid-air pose in a teal and blue one-piece swimsuit, her hair blowing in the wind.

The 23-year-old gymnast stepped into the highlight on the 2024 Paris Olympics as a part of the victorious U.S. women’s gymnastics team that secured the gold medal. In addition to helping Team USA win the gold medal, Chiles made the primary all-Black Olympic gymnastics podium by winning the bronze title, where she stood alongside Rebecca Antrade and Simone Biles, who won gold and silver medals in the ladies’s floor exercise final.

Before this historic moment, Chiles’ coach Cecile Landi made an appeal on the court, which led to her bronze medal. However, shortly thereafter, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) overturned her coach’s initial appeal on the grounds that she was 4 seconds late beyond the one-minute time-frame in which scoring questions may very well be asked. The title has since been transferred to Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu, and Chiles and her lawyers have appealed the CAS ruling.

While she and her legal team await the consequence of the appeal, Chiles just isn’t letting the situation dim her light. From walking through New York Fashion Week to touring with teammate Simone Biles, the Olympian is making the controversial decision a part of her journey.
