Cardi B speaks at Harris rally and calls Trump a ‘fraud’
Cardi B spoke at a Kamala Harris rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 1. The “Press” rapper called Donald Trump a “conman” who won’t ever truly support women’s rights and revealed that he has no plans to vote until Harris enters the race.
Cardi B explained that she decided to support Harris after initially stating that she wouldn’t vote within the upcoming election; that was until the vice chairman was added to the list.
Cardi B said: “She completely modified her mind. I didn’t imagine in any candidate until she entered the race and said the things I wanted to listen to and see in the longer term of this country.
The 32-year-old New York native explained that she was interested in Harris because she, too, was an “underdog.” She shared her experiences of getting her success questioned because she was a woman.
“Like Kamala Harris, I too was an underdog. I used to be underestimated, my success downplayed and discredited. Let me inform you something. Women need to work 10 times harder, perform 10 times higher, and yet people wonder how we got to the highest.
Cardi B added, “I don’t stand for bullying, but like Kamala, I always stand up to one.”
In particular, Cardi B mentioned several of Harris’ policies that she supports, corresponding to an initiative to maintain grocery prices reasonable and to expand the kid tax credit in order that families can get a tax credit to assist them raise their children.
After praising Harris, the rapper moved on to speak about former President Trump. She specifically identified his comment earlier this week wherein he said he would protect women “whether they like it or not.”
According to Cardi stated in her speech, “People like Donald Trump don’t believe that women deserve rights, and when those rights are taken away, they’re nowhere to be found.”
She continued to the touch on Trump’s determined efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade and the next success of his plan, leaving women across the country fighting the results.
“If (Trump’s) definition of protection is not freedom of choice, if his definition of protection is ensuring that our daughters have fewer rights than our mothers, then I don’t want that,” Cardi B said.
She stated: “It’s a terrible job to distract women from their rights to their bodies. “Getting Americans out of their hard-earned money by selling Trump watches, Trump sneakers, and the Trump Bible – the watch, by the way, costs $100,000 and was made in China, another country he has discredited – is also nasty.”
Cardi B is just one in every of a variety of stars who’ve endorsed Harris and attended her rallies over the ultimate five days of her campaign. Prominent Black artists and voices to be included in upcoming rallies include Spike Lee, Victoria Monét, 2 Chains and Monica. The Isley Brothers and DJ Gemini Gilly also performed.
Especially at the rally in Milwaukee, the audience of over 12,000 was delighted with the performance of female rappers, other than Cardi B. The rally featured the long-lasting MC Lyte and recent, popular artists corresponding to GloRilla and Flo Milli.
Eighties rapper MC Lyte left the audience with some advice after performing a few of her hits. “Vote this season. There are no “maybes” in this scenario. This is so serious” – Sshe he said crowd.
“Please take this treasure trove of information with you to those who have not yet voted and emphasize to them how important it is that we celebrate on Tuesday night because we have put the right person into office.”
