Martha Stewart Gives Up the Box of Chocolates and Reveals the Real Reason She Had a Fight with Former Food Network Host Ina Garten, Snoop Dogg Interjects
The bond between rapper Snoop Dogg and lifestyle and cooking guru Martha Stewart is as endearing because it is unexpected in the case of celebrity friendships. That’s why few were shocked when the laid-back D-double-OG arrived like a pit bull to guard his longtime friend.
For those that are unaware, their path to friendship was paved by none aside from Stewart’s conflict with celebrity chef Ina Garten.
The Barefoot Contessa and Stewart had a long-term relationship, but when the former model was sent to prison for conspiracy and obstruction of justice, they drifted apart, which opened the door for her to form a friendship with one of the most recognizable faces in the fashion world – Chmiel.
The topic of Stewart’s friendship with Garten got here up on the October 20 episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”
She appeared on the show to support her friend from “Gin & Juice”, who celebrated his 53rd birthdayrd birthday, when actor Seth Meyers also joined them.
The show’s host Andy Cohen recalled Garten’s recent memoir, “Be Ready When the Luck Happens,” which details her life and experiences, including her relationship with Stewart.
“Have you read Ina Garten’s new memoir,” Cohen asked the 83-year-old, who confessed: “I’ve read parts of it.” She rejected all claims about her in the memoir, noting, “She can write whatever she wants.”
Almost immediately, Snoop jumped to her defense, joking, “I haven’t read that book. What does it say?”
After Cohen informed them that Garten had attributed their estrangement to Stewart’s move to Connecticut, Stewart quickly denied this, citing one more reason: “That’s not true… After I went to prison.”
The tastemaker was jailed in 2004 after a six-week trial for insider trading. She was accused of obtaining information before others and selling her ImClone Systems shares the day before they plummeted.
The founder of Martha Stewart Living stated that her felony conviction for conspiracy to obstruct, obstructing agency proceedings and making false statements to federal investigators affected each her profession and personal relationships.
Stewart spent five months in federal prison, which marked a turning point in her relationship with Garten, who, in keeping with Stewart, began to distance herself during this time.
While discussing the Stewart-Garten feud, Snoop showed his unwavering support, stating in a serious tone, “Martha, don’t argue with people.” “That’s when I stepped in,” he joked.
Cohen added with a laugh: “When one friend walks out the door, another friend shows up at the door.”
Show sent exchange on social media and people expressed their opinion.
“I love that Snoop was immediately ready to give his all for Marta, even without knowing what Andy would say,” wrote one of the platform’s followers, while one other commented: “A true friend senses your feelings and soothes the situation.”
Someone else said: “Marta is as cool as a cucumber. «He can write whatever he wants». Completely unaffected. Be like Martha and have friends like Snoop.”
“Snoop and Marta’s friendship was never expected,” wrote one other. “But I love it so much.”
Snoop and Stewart’s camaraderie first got here to public attention in 2008 once they teamed up for “Martha Stewart Living.”
The on-screen chemistry was undeniable, and the contrasting personalities created the perfect combination of humor and charm. Their friendship deepened over the years, leading to collaborations on various cooking shows and even a joint appearance on the 2016 “Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber.”
Most recently, they were the life and soul of the Paris Olympics, commenting on all the things from French cuisine to equestrian sports.”
Later in the episode, Snoop was asked if he and his friend really cared about what was written about Stewart in the recent book, he replied like all other player, snapping, “Hell no.”
Stewart has already spoken out about her relationship with Garten.
In September 2024, during approx interview in The New Yorker, she debunked her former friend’s arguments for his or her quarrel.
“When I was sent to Alderson Prison, she stopped talking to me,” she explained at the time. “I found it extremely disturbing and extremely unfriendly.”
Twenty years later, Stewart is larger than ever and has a whole recent audience because of her recent pal. Cool as a freshly chopped cucumber, she truly doesn’t appear to worry about what her old friend has to say about her.
