Video captures the shocking moment Jean Claude Van Damme becomes furious with his wife after the actor’s heartbreaking health diagnosis
The re-display of a clip of motion star Jean Claude Van Damme blowing on his wife is causing a stir on social media amongst fans concerned about the actor’s health.
Being the wife of a world star comes with its own challenges. Now add mental illness to the mix. No one knows this higher than Gladys Portugues, who married the martial arts champion turned motion star in 1987, a 12 months before he was diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar disorder. Like her famous husband, Gladys is an actress, fitness enthusiast and former bodybuilder.
While she can have a bonus in physical strength, a video circulating on social media from Episode 5 of the documentary “Jean Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors” (2011) shows that her resilience and patience make her stronger on this regard. that is what counts the most.

“His lady is real. To hold him down, let him do his thing and then let him be vulnerable in one shot. An absolute gift,” one person wrote.
Someone else wrote: “His wife is a saint. Having a parent with bipolar disorder is a terrible disease that is almost impossible to live with. It leaves its mark on everyone it touches.”
Another added: “He’s lucky to have an amazing woman like her. He has a lot of patience.”
A fourth comment read: “Breaks my heart man. I am praying for this man,” before one other added: “This is true love as I believe in it.”
Regardless of your level of affection, it isn’t easy.
According to an anonymous person account on the International Bipolar Foundation website, loving someone with rapid cycling bipolar disorder might be extremely difficult because they’re vulnerable to mood swings and intensely unpredictable behavior.
The unnamed person talked about the triggers and explained that loving someone like her requires a high level of understanding, communication and self-care on the part of somebody who have to be willing to deal with the complexities of the disease.
