Tyra Banks makes a shocking comeback, but her weight gain has critics focusing on her dark past with curvy modeling

The Victoria Secret fashion show was the talk of the web on the night of October 15 resulting from the brand’s first show since its return after a six-year hiatus.

Big stars took part within the event, which took place in Brooklyn. Models Bella, Gigi Hadid and Claudia Schiffer walked the runway, and singers resembling Tyla and Cher supported the show with performances.

But one other one who sparked a lot of conversation and posts on Tuesday night was former model and talk show host Tyra Banks.

Banks, Victoria Secret’s first black contract model, ended the show with her glamorous runway and her infamous smirky face. The 50-year-old wore her hair loose and wore a shiny black jumpsuit and a corset with silver and black patterned stripes around her waist.

She also had a cape with a silver pattern, which she draped over her body at the top of the runway.

However, some viewers, recalling the past, reacted several times after they noticed that Banquo’s figure was not as small as before. Many people referenced her show “America’s Next Top Model,” during which she and other celebrity judges from the style industry commented on women who were over a certain size, saying they were “full figure” or “plus size.”

Speaking to the audience and the camera, Banks thanks her mother for helping her overcome all of the negative opinions about her appearance.

He then delivers an emotional message on to his critics, saying: “To all of you who’ve something unpleasant to say about me or other women whose construct is comparable to mine, women whose names you already know, women whose names you do not know, women who’ve been picked on , women whose husbands have humiliated them, women at work or girls in school, I actually have one thing to say to you: kiss my fat ass.”

Banks retired from the runway in 2005 to pursue a profession in television. Last month in interview in Harper’s Bazaar, she talked about coming out of retirement and walking the Victoria Secret runway again.

“It’s a bit of an out-of-body experience,” she said. “I walked off the runway and retired. It was an amazing spectacle. I felt like that athlete who says, “I’m hanging up my cleats… I’m stopping playing basketball.” And then, now I’m back! I never in a million years thought I’d be back on the runway, but I’m incredibly excited and ready for it.”
