I then ordered Mr. Harris out of the vehicle and took him into custody while placing handcuffs on him. I escorted Mr. Harris to my patrol vehicle, manhandled him and placed him in the back of the vehicle.”

Two other individuals who were within the vehicle with King were charged with possession of lower than an oz of marijuana, while he was taken to the DeKalb County Jail.

His warrant stems from an incident that occurred in August 2022 wherein he was charged with speeding, knowingly operating a motorcar with a suspended license and driving under the influence of medicine.

According to Fox 5, the arrest citation was returned in September 2024, which generally means the defendant was not notified of the planned arraignment and an arrest warrant was issued. Local reports explain that he was released into Pickens County the day after his arrest and the arrest warrant was dismissed.

Fans reacted with disappointment at King’s behavior within the Hollywood Unlocked comments section concerning the incident. One person he said“I want to be a bandit so bad… Smh.”

This could also be true given TI’s response when King was arrested in 2022 for a minor traffic violation of not wearing a seat belt.

In an Instagram Live, the “Bring Em Out” rapper said: “If the f**k he keeps this up he’s going to jail. There’s no way around it, there’s nothing I can do about it,” he said. “Because I know this energy. I was that energy. I know exactly how this will end.”

TI also said that while raising his son, he tried to discipline him, but now it’s all as much as King. “He has already received all the floggings and punishments,” TI said. “You did the whole lot for him that you could possibly do as a baby. So now you are going to should undergo this and undergo this and there’s nothing that me, mom or anyone else can say about it.

The “King of the South” even chastised King in a viral video showing the young rapper brandishing a gun while filming a music video with Boosie’s son, rapper Tootie Raww, which was released last month.

King defended himself by stating that owning a gun was not illegal, to which his father replied, “Well, with the way you portray this lifestyle, it doesn’t look legal, sir.”

TI has had a history of drug and weapons arrests and even served time in prison. So it’s no surprise that he tries to derail his son into making higher selections than he did at his age.

“It’s not free. There is no cost to it,” he continued. “I can not consider this shit, man. … Why don’t you make some music that the motherfucker will love? You’ll have girls here. Why don’t you discuss being in love, man?
