Stargazing: ESSENCE GU Summit 2024, Victoria Monét, Issa Rae, Oprah and more – Essence
Last week, Black excellence was on full display as among the biggest names in entertainment, fashion and business were spotted at major events across the country. From red carpets to speak show stages, these stars brought their distinctive style and charisma to each appearance. Keyshia Ka’Oir and Gucci Mane wowed audiences with an unforgettable performance with The Atlanta Pops Orchestra, and Tia Mowry, GloRilla and Jennifer Hudson shared unforgettable moments on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
The most significant events of this week included: ESSENCE Girls United disruption summitwhich took place on the PC&E Sound Stage in Atlanta. The summit brought together innovators resembling Reyna Roberts, Amber Riley and Lady London for an empowering day specializing in leadership, creativity and community. The event is an element of the ESSENCE GU Summit series, which goals to encourage young women of color to revolutionize industries and leave their mark on the world through discussions and panels led by trailblazing Black women.
