Fashion styles for the spring-summer 2025 season weren’t the one hot topics during Paris Fashion Week, after a recent video featuring Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman appeared online.

The footage, which many say reveals a rift between the 2 actresses, comes from the Balenciaga show on September 30.

Hayek is the wife of François-Henri Pinault, CEO of luxury brand company Kering, which owns Balenciaga, Gucci, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta. The couple, who’re parents to daughter Paloma, began dating in 2006 and married in 2009.

The viral video begins with Kidman facing away from photographers and Hayek attempting to direct his peers’ attention to flashing lights recording their every move. When the “Frida” star uses her hands to reposition Kidman so that she is facing forward, their interaction appears to be a hindrance.

Social media users imagine that Tom Cruise’s ex-wife instructed Hayek not to the touch her as he pushed her hand away. The Australian artist greeted pop sensation Katy Perry with a hug as Hayek looked on, stunned.

When Kidman returned her attention to the actress, she said a few words, to which Hayek responded with a nod, standing along with his arms at his sides. However, the Oscar winner left shortly after, and Hayek moved on to arranging a photo opportunity with Perry.

Photos and videos later revealed that the Hollywood veterans were sitting within the front row, with Pinault between them. However, the altercation caught on camera became a sensational argument between the ladies, with one in all them speculating that Kidman’s contract with the style house may now be hanging within the balance.

“Oh, that’s a ‘don’t touch me’ from Nicole to Salma at her husband’s brand show. I’m afraid the contract with Balenciaga is in jeopardy” – user X he wrote. The Big Little Lies accolade was announced as a Balenciaga brand ambassador in December 2023.

Second user he wrote“I would be very scared to do that, even if I were Nicole Kidman. Imagine being blacklisted by almost half of the fashion world and France.”

Elsewhere, the mounting comments turned attention to perceptions of their behavior and likability.

One like that tweet read: “Salma was rude and rushed Nicole so she could pose with one other person. Nicole told her not to the touch her and she or he’d be high quality, OK? And Salma agreed.

The fourth commentator broadcast“I’m a part of the #SalmaHayek team. I’ve met Nicole before and she or he’s a snob. Typical entitled Hollywood snob! She’s almost definitely drunk or high here… we’ll never know.

When Hayek sent she posted a photo of herself and Kidman on the October 1 Paris Fashion Week photo carousel. While Kidman looked pleasantly on the camera, she selected to cover the correct side of her face together with her hair and checked out the bottom.

An Instagram follower wrote that not only was she upset in Kidman, but she also “felt racist vibes.”

Neither the ladies nor Balenciaga have issued statements that would silence speculative talk on the topic. The fashion show was Kidman’s first major appearance for the reason that death of her mother in early September.
