Beyoncé will attend the 2025 Grammy Awards in the country category
After years of being overlooked of the category, Beyoncé can finally earn her first national nomination. According to sources on Hollywood reporterBeyoncé’s latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” will be up for best country album.
Last week, the Recording Academy reportedly began the first step in the Grammy nominations process with its annual screening meetings, where members check whether entries are eligible and divide them into categories.
This 12 months, members of The Recording Academy accepted Beyoncé’s entry in the country category for the first time. In 2016, the star entered the category with the country-inspired song “Daddy Lessons” from the album “Lemonade.” Despite the star performing the song at the fiftieth Country Music Awards later that 12 months, the country Grammy committee rejected the entry. Ironically, this 12 months the Country Music Association rejected “Cowboy Carter” since it received zero nominations.

If “Cowboy Carter” earns a nomination in the country category, the star who already holds the title of the most decorated artist in Grammy history could reach one other milestone by becoming one among the few artists to receive nominations in multiple genres at the Grammy Awards.
Winning 32 Grammy Awards and 88 nominations, Beyoncé continually broke records at the Record Academy, becoming the first artist to receive nominations in the rock, rap, R&B and pop categories in the same 12 months. While it has won quite a few awards in various categories, it has never won the “Album of the Year” title, which “Cowboy Carter” can be reportedly in the running for.
The 2025 Grammy Awards ceremony will happen on February 2.
